About The House

The two-story house is over 130 years old, built of local stone, and was completely remodeled in the 1990s to modernise it while keeping its traditional and rural  character.

House

There are 7 rooms altogether, and 1.5 baths; approximately 1200 total square feet of living space. Two bedrooms and the full bath are upstairs, and downstairs are two reception rooms with large fireplaces. An extension with several extra-large double-glazed windows houses the kitchen and half-bath, which currently doubles as a laundry room.

Plenty of room is available for extension, either up or out, and as the house neither fronts the road nor breaks the skyline, applying for planning permission for such an extension should pose no difficulties.

Additionally, the largest stone outbuilding is wired for electricity, and could be converted to a guesthouse, workshop, game room, or other living space.

House

The windows are hardwood and custom-made for the house during the 1992 renovation. The matching front door is a split Dutch or 'stable' door to allow for extra light and ventilation inside.
